ALL ABOUT SAMASUNG GALAXY S6 AKA SAMASUNG EDGE

THE GOOD The upscale Samsung Galaxy S6's smooth glass-and-matte-metal body, improved fingerprint reader, and convenient new camera shortcut key make the phone a stunner. Samsung's decluttered take on Android 5.0 brings the beauty inside, too.
THE BAD Longtime fans will bristle at the Galaxy S6's nonremovable battery and absent expandable storage. The phone has an intensely reflective backing and looks embarrassingly like the iPhone 6. Battery life, while good, falls short of last year's Galaxy.
THE BOTTOM LINE Worldly looks and top-notch specs make the impressive, metal Samsung Galaxy S6 the Android phone to beat for 2015.

FIX CORRUPTED SD CARD

go to the start menu on the bottom left of your computer screen
Click on that and there will be a search bar. Type in the word "cmd" and hit enter
You should see something named "cmd. exe" under a list of programs
Right click that and hit "Run as Administrator" as is shown below.
[GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card-admin.jpg

This will open a command windows that will allow you to do a plethora of things, but most importantly, fix our SD card
The window will look something like this:

[GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card-cmd.png
Now before you insert the SD card, make sure the card isn't write protected as this will prevent the program from having access to the card.
(This is only if you are using an SD card adapter for your micro SD. If your desktop/laptop have a microSD slot, you do not need to do this)

look at your SD card, on the side there will be a "switch." Make sure it is as far up as it can go (The letters on the card should be readable, not upside down)
Once you have checked for this, you can insert the card into your PC's card slot
Doing this will open a window on your PC, showing the name of the card and asking if you want to open it or transfer any files to and from the card. Close out of the window
Now go back to the start menu and open "My Computer." There will be a list labeled "Devices with removable storage" under which you will find your SD card and the drive letter. You'll need the letter for when we use the chkdsk command.

[GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card-rd-h.jpg

In my case, the SD card has the driver letter "H:"
Your letter may be different, so make sure that you type in your specific one.

Now you will go back to the command window and type in "chkdsk" then your card's drive letter, followed by a colon and /f
It should now look something like this:
[GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card-untitled.png

After this is typed in, hit enter and wait for the program to go to work and find then fix any corruption on the card. This can take a few minutes, depending on the amount of corruption and on the storage size of the card
When it is done, you should see this in your command window:
[GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card-chkdsk.png

Cards with corrupted data will get any recovered data stored in the directory lost.dir in the SD card's list of folders
Now we're all done ..:)

FACEBOOK'S NEW TROUBLE : APPLE !!

Apple's latest announcements from its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco could spell trouble for Facebook.
Apple unveiled a wide range of software upgrades this week that will roll out along with its new iOS 8 mobile operating system this fall. Some of the biggest changes involve a revamp of the company's iMessage service
Apple's iMessage updates share many similarities with Facebook-owned WhatsApp, which the company bought for $19 billion in February of 2014. While WhatsApp is available on multiple platforms, including iPhone, Android and Blackberry, Apple is seemingly making a play at many of the app's core customers.
WhatsApp co-founder and CEO Jan Koum quickly noticed the similarities between the iMessage updates and WhatsApp's key traits. On Monday, Koum sarcastically tweeted that it was "very flattering to see Apple 'borrow' numerous WhatsApp features into iMessage in iOS 8 #innovation."
According to Dan Nathan, Koum and Facebook may have good reason to worry. "I think iOS users who have WhatsApp, I think when this comes out, they're slowly going to drop WhatsApp," he said on Tuesday's episode of "Fast Money."
Nathan also said that if Apple ever chooses to license the software to Android, WhatsApp and Facebook could feel even more pain. "That could really make the purchase price of $19 billion look absolutely silly … I think we're going to see a $5-7 billion write-down (by Facebook) in the next few years."

Microsoft working on next-gen 'no-touch' screens

LONDON: Tech giant Microsoft is working on next generation technology that will enable 'no-touch' phones, tablets and televisions that can be operated from afar, without the need to swipe them.

The technology will allow users to control a screen with their fingers even from the other side of the room and put their hands through a screen to 'touch' objects.

Microsoft said it is has begun to create machines that move far beyond touchscreens.
The company is building an electronic bracelet that can detect movements in a person's fingers, allowing them to imitate the actions of poking and flicking the screen to operate a device.

The bracelet would allow people to operate a television despite having their back turned or control a mobile phone with their hands in their pockets, The Times reported.

Microsoft has also unveiled new 'interactive displays'. Among them is a 'floating display', which gives the illusion of a globe spinning or a dragon flying, just inches above a flat monitor. Cameras and motion sensors then allow people to interact with these floating objects.

Another prototype allows someone sitting in front of a large screen to see a series of cubes. They can then slip their hands behind the device in order to 'touch' these objects.

This device operates by surrounding a screen with cameras that can detect the user and their movements, matching them to on-screen items.

Tim Large, a researcher from Microsoft Applied Sciences Group, said that final versions of these displays will be ready in two to five years.

how to solve internet speed issue while downloading torrents

i found some solutions for this...
1. if you want maximum speed for surfing then you can stop the torrent for a while by right clicking on the torrent and select stop.. after your surfing is done you can   start it again...

2. if you want to keep  downloading continue and get enough surfing speed then select  bandwidth allocation low by right clicking on the torrent.. this will give less priority to torrent and it will give you enough speed.

3. another way is to just set the maximum downloading speed again on right clicking on the torrent !!! this will bind the speed of downloading and the rest of the speed you will get in surfing..

Google buys an Android gaming platform, possibly with a set-top box in mind

Green Throttle Games was late to the Android gaming platform party, and paid the price for it -- the company effectively wound down at the end of 2013. However, its efforts may not have been in vain. Google has confirmed toPandoDaily that it has acquired key parts of Green Throttle's business, including its parts, labor and two co-founders. The crew in Mountain View hasn't said what it will do with its new resources, but PandoDaily sources claim that Google wants to refine the Bluetooth controller for its long-fabled (and possibly gaming-focused)TV set-top box. Whether or not that's true, the move suggests that Google's interest in games is extending beyond software.
